It contains a unique moisturizing system, the composition of which is similar to the normal carbohydrate blend of the outer layer of the epidermis. This moisturizing system:
Characterized as a “water magnet” because it has the ability to bind water molecules and keep them on the skin. It creates chemical bonds with skin keratin and so the “water magnet” is not easily removed from the skin, e.g. when we wash our face, except with normal monthly exfoliation of the skin. These carbohydrates become part of the epidermis and strengthen their unique ability to retain moisture. It is one of the very few moisturizing systems that have a very good effect when the usual moisturizing agents are inactive, ie in adverse conditions of low humidity (20-50%). It implants the normal functioning of the body’s carbohydrate system by mimicking the composition and function of our skin.
